Successful Rowers in Many Ways

Here is an interesting article, which really just confirms what we already know about our wonderful athletes!

As well, congratulations to all our crews on a good showing at Early Birds last Sunday. Hard work, determination and sportsmanship were all on display by our Bulldogs. Thank you to Sandra Potter and all the parent volunteers for helping our athletes at the Bulldog Tent.

Next up – the John Bennett Regatta this Sunday in Buffalo. I hope to see many of you there. Please collaborate travelling plans with coaches and other parents. Your child will be coming home with 2 permission forms – please fill them both out and return the Consent for Trip form to me. The other form – Consent to Travel to the States – should be put with your child’s passport. If you are coming to the Regatta, we always appreciate donations of healthy snacks for the Bulldog Tent for our athletes (and parents too!)

Congratulations are in order as well to our senior women’s 8 which qualified for the Stotesbury Regatta in Philadelphia May 16 – 18. Mr. Blouin will be accompanying the girls this year. If your daughter is a member of this crew, you will also be receiving paperwork. Please read and follow instructions!

Grocery Cards

Thank you to families who are purchasing grocery cards as a way to support our rowing program. As we all buy groceries, its an easy way to fundraise. Simply send a cheque with your child to me (Ms. Hunt) and I will get the card to them by the end of the day. Cards can be purchased in the amounts of 425, $50, $100 or $250. Thank you everyone!
