Thank you to everyone who came to the school this morning to collect their citrus orders. Thank you also for your patience, understanding and good humour as the truck was delayed by the weather.  Not that its a competition, but our fundraiser-guy (Dave) told me that we doubled what Grimsby rowing raised and quadrupled Crossley’s (?) music program’s efforts. So well done SWC Rowing!

If you did not collect this morning, please come to the caretaker’s entrance just north of the east foyer entrance after school on Monday and I will be there to help you out.

Citrus Order Update

The truck should be at SWC by 9:30 – so aiming for a 10 am pick up please. Not as bad as originally projected!

Citrus Order Delayed

It is almost 8 am and I have received word that the delivery truck is already an hour late.

I will keep everyone posted to my best guess at when the truck will arrive, but we are looking for a noon-hour pick-up at this time.

Citrus Fund Raiser

THANK YOU to everyone who particpated in our annual fall fundraiser. Through the efforts of these families, we raised approximately $1700, which is just slightly better than last year. Unfortunately, only about a third of our rowing community handed in orders. Imagine what we could have done with even half of the rowing families contributing. This money will go into our general account for future considerations for the needs of our program.

Thank you again! Final step will be to collect your orders at the school on Saturday December 14. I will let you and the rowers know the exact time when I am informed of it.

Breakfast Club

Many of our rowers have begun to use the school’s Breakfast Club after morning workouts. This has begun to put strain on the resources of the club. Athletes who do not need to use the breakfast club should either bring their own after-workout food to school OR bring donations for the club – either food or money. A list of needed items can be found on the school website.

All order forms and money for our citrus fundraiser are due to Ms Hunt by 9 am on Friday Dec 6 – that is in 2 days from now! I am happy to receive orders any time – you don’t have to wait until Friday morning please! Congrats to Katelyn Buzanko who brought in an order for $420! Nice! Thank you once again for participating in this fundraiser to support our rowers and coaches. Hopefully this will be it for the year!
